Visa FAQs
Please note that in all cases below, your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of your return. All information listed is correct for British citizens. If you are a British subject, British overseas resident or have a passport from another country including dual citizenship, requirements may be different, and we ask that you check with the relevant authorities.
Visa Requirements
Do I need a visa for my destination?
One Traveller will provide further details regarding the entry requirements to your chosen country in our Useful Information sheets. These are sent with your holiday booking confirmation paperwork. International entry requirements are subject to change without notice. We will try to update you on any later developments after you have booked a holiday, should they become known to us. It remains your responsibility to ensure you comply with entry procedures, however, and One Traveller cannot take responsibility for your failure to adhere to these before arriving in your chosen destination country.
Visa requirements vary depending upon your nationality, the country you are visiting, and the length of your stay. We have listed below the general entry requirements for the countries we visit which are known to have a visa application requirement (or a visa waiver requirement) in place for British Citizen passport holders. For up-to-date information, answers to specific questions, and determining if a visa is indeed needed, we always suggest consulting the embassy or consulate of your destination country before you travel.
You can also find useful information on the UK government's website. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) publishes travel information and advice for every country, with links to official visa application pages and embassy websites. Visit gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and select the country you are visiting to see the latest information.
Please be aware that visa applications are linked to your passport. Should you need to renew your passport after applying for a visa, or if you have dual nationality and decide to travel on your other passport to that used to support your visa application, you will need to reapply with your updated or preferred details.
How can I apply for a visa?
You can apply for a visa through the embassy or consulate of your destination country. Some countries also offer online e-visa applications. Click below for further information about each of the countries we visit, including when and how One Traveller can assist you with your application.
Which One Traveller holidays require a visa?
For British Citizen passport holders only

Cambodia Application:
If you are travelling directly to Cambodia by air, you must apply for a visa before your departure from the UK. One Traveller can apply on your behalf if you so wish. To do so, we will require:
- a colour scan or colour photocopy of the photo page of your passport
- a separate passport photograph
An application fee is payable before we complete the process. This includes the cost of the evisa plus an administration charge.
If you wish to apply for your own evisa we suggest you do so at least 10 days prior to travel as applications can take up to 72 hours to be approved.
When crossing from Vietnam into Cambodia by road, the visa is a simple formality undertaken at the border and no administration is required prior to departure. Your Tour Manager and local guide will provide the necessary forms and will assist you through this simple process. You may be asked to supply two passport sized photos. These must be on a plain white background, head and shoulders visible, front facing and the head not cut off.

Canada Application:
Travellers to Canada will first need to apply for an electronic authorisation known as an eTA. This is available online and the process is simple to complete. Once approved, an eTA is valid for five years, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. You can make multiple visits to Canada with a valid eTA. You, a family member or friend can apply for this on your behalf by visiting the address below. Simply have your passport and booking confirmation paperwork to hand.

China Application:
All travellers must apply for an individual visa to facilitate their entry to China. One Traveller can assist you with a single entry application if you so wish. All aspects will be completed by us and our agent based in London. You will simply need to send us your passport, a recent photo taken on a white background and the completed visa questionnaire that we will send you after you book your holiday. The cost can fluctuate but you will be advised in good time after booking your holiday. It will include the application fee, service fees and processing administration fees. Our agent will attend the visa application centre on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can arrange the visa yourself. For a small administration fee, we will arrange the letter of invitation from our agent, hotel itinerary and flight documents needed to support your application. You will then be responsible for completing the online application form, visiting the visa application centre in London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Belfast, supplying a colour photocopy of your passport page and a recent passport photograph. Please note that you will be required to leave your passport at the application centre while your visa is processed.

Egypt Application:
British Citizen passport holders travelling to Egypt normally require a visa for visits of up to 30 days. We include the cost of this within the price of your holiday and will pre-arrange the application prior to your arrival in Egypt.

Entry to the European Union and wider Schengen Area (which includes Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Switzerland) is currently visa-free.
