Expedition Holidays
These holidays include activities where a certain level of fitness is required. This is over and above urban walking, even if steep and cobbled, and implies some rough terrain, such as sand dunes or jungles. The distances walked may be greater, and last 3 or more hours. Overland journeys may be on dirt roads that are inherently less comfortable, or be for 6 hours or more (with comfort stops included, of course). There will be one or two days in each itinerary which is physically more arduous, but the rewards are worth the effort when you get to come within feet of a family of gorillas, or see the otherworldly landscape of the Namib Desert.
